The Monte Berico Museum, on the hill overlooking the city a few steps from the historic centre, is housed in the sanctuary of the same name, for centuries an important place of worship for the people of Vicenza and a pilgrimage destination.
Here, in fact, the miracle of the apparition of Mary to a woman of humble conditions, Vincenza Pasini, took place. The fact occurred on 7 March 1426 and was repeated on 1 August 1428.
